This Song was inspired by the division created by President Trump, when he decided to build a wall between Mexico and The United States of America. I couldn’t help thinking about all the people that would be affected, many with families on both sides of the wall. We have seen other walls built through history and they have led to great resentment between countries and their people. I also thought it very appropriate to make this song part 3 of my trilogy on world issues today, as barriers are going up all over the world. I wanted to capture the feeling that we have all had at some point in our lives, of being trapped in a situation that you are powerless to change.

The song starts with a mood setting, nylon string guitar played by Jazz Master Ray Walker, from Perth, followed by an onslaught of Merv’s heavy rock guitar sounds and an emotional performance on Vocals. The music video opens with picturesque views of Mexico, followed by heavy construction machinery and footage of Alcatraz prison, a story of imprisonment, escape and finding freedom.
